Little Liechtenstein!

Lauren, Taylor, and I traveled another short train trip to the Principality of Liechtenstein! I had to get a picture with the country's flag! Now I have been to all of the German-speaking countries in the world!
Liechtenstein is famous for its stamps. This is the Post Museum, which was free to enter so we figured why not.

There was a large collection of stamps.

They also had old post-related items. Kinda neat. This is a mail sleigh. Still today I see a lot of mail being delivered by post men or women on bicycles that have huge baskets.

We would have spent the day hiking but it was rainy and cool. We didn't want a repeat of the day before, slip sliding up a hill. So we wondered around the capital of Vaduz, where the postmuseum was at. Soon enough we were out of things to do, so we walked about 2km (which took us out of the city of Vaduz, to give an idea of how small it was!) to the country's one and only McDonalds.

Notice the price of a big mac...about $15 USD at current exchange rates! But all the bread, beef, and cheese comes from Switzerland. Fancy.

Europe is so multicultural.

We had dinner at the Hirsch in Bregenz. This was a really good soup. It was like little fried dough balls in a broth. mmm

Wiener schnitzel and spaetzle. Spaetzle is like the Austrian version of mac-n-cheese. It's made with mountain cheese, so you have to hold your nose to eat it.

Potato salad! Vinegary but good.
