1st day in Munich!

Füssen was such an enjoyable town! Adam and I were sad to leave. But we were also both excited to explore new places.
Today we took a train to Munich, or München. München is overwhelmingly big and busy compared to quaint little Füssen. Going on suggestions from WikiTravel.com, we hopped on a street tram to Hirshgarten, a huge beer garden.  München is world famous (weltberühmt) for its beer gardens. Hirshgarten is a beer garden with 8,000 seats and is situated in a park. Next to the beer garden’s seats is a fenced in area containing rams and deer! I had an “ah-ha!” moment here when I, out of curiosity, looked up the German word for deer. It’s “Hirsch”…hence the name Hirschgarten! It was wonderful weather to be outside and enjoy the atmosphere.
Side note: if you would like to learn some basic German, or just hear what it sounds like, or see what it looks like, then you should check out slowgerman.com!
