"Gonna write you a letter, gonna write you a book..." -"Amsterdam" by Guster

Amsterdam: the city of bikes and home to Heineken!
Adam and I walked around town and took a boat tour!
The canals are lined with house boats!

The tour informed us that despite the guardrails, a car will end up in the canal about once a week.
The tour boat chugged by a bicycle parking garage!
This is the Amsterdam train station. Amsterdam also has very unique and very pretty architecture!
I'm not sure what the local Netherlandish cuisine is...Adam and I ate at an Argentinian restaurant for dinner and it was delicious!!! Our hotel was also very nice and only a short tram ride from the center of everything. The area of town that the hotel was located in was gorgeous. It was a block away from a canal, and our room's view looked over a botanical garden.

Stairs in Amsterdam are ridiculous! Very steep and each step is very small!
Descending the stairs with my huge pack on was nerve-racking! Each step was half as long as my foot!

The view from our window.

I'm so sad our vacation is over! It was absolutely amazing! Adam and I departed at the Amsterdam Airport train station where he flew back to the States and I got on a train to Muenster, Germany.
